How to Apply to Serve as Law Enforcement Officers & Fire Fighters (LEOFF) Disability Board Member
The City of Lacey accepts application packets from citizens interested in serving on the Law Enforcement Officers & Fire Fighters (LEOFF) Disability Board on a continuous basis, whether or not there is a current opening. Application packets are kept on file for a period of one year from date of receipt and are considered each time a position becomes available. Applicants may be contacted by the Mayor to discuss the responsibilities of the position and interest in serving. The full City Council affirms citizen board and commission appointments based on the recommendation of the Mayor.
Applicants with a variety of skills, interests and experiences are encouraged to apply.
Law Enforcement Officers & Fire Fighters (LEOFF) Disability Board members must reside within the City of Lacey.
Two of the three board members must currently serve on the Lacey City Council. The remaining member must be an active or retired City of Lacey law enforcement officer.
Members must be able to commit to monthly board meetings and required preparation time.
TERMS OF OFFICE
LEOFF Board members serve 2-year terms with no term limits.
All board members serve in a volunteer capacity.

- Stop by the City Manager's Office at Lacey City Hall, 420 College Street SE, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; or
- Download Application Packet (PDF).
Please note: Incomplete applications may not be considered, so please be sure to submit all materials requested in the application packet. Application materials cannot be submitted online or via E-mail.
