The Lacey City Council welcomes you!  We are here to represent the needs and interests of the citizens we serve.  We invite the public to take an active role in local government by attending meetings or serving as a representative on Lacey's Boards and Commissions.

Together, our seven-member Council establishes policy for the city, adopts the annual operating budget, and represents Lacey's interests on regional boards and commissions.  Meet the Lacey City Council or learn more about the History of Lacey City Government.



Washington Center: Apply for use of the city's free day

Under the current contract with the Washington Center, the City of Lacey is entitled to use the facility two days per year at no additional cost. One free day is designated for city use, and one free day is designated for non-profit use.  If the city decides not to sponsor an event, the second free day could be offered to a non-profit agency / organization. more »

Meeting Location

All meetings convene in the Council Chambers of Lacey City Hall, 420 College Street SE. The public is invited to attend.  map

Televised Meetings

Council meetings are broadcast live in the local television market on Channel 3, and rebroadcast the following two Saturdays at 12:00 a.m., the following two Mondays at 12:00 p.m., and the following Thursday at 7:00 p.m.

Live Meetings
Council meetings are broadcast live through video streaming and are available on demand. A variety of media formats are made available to allow viewing by a wide range of devices.

Boards & Commissions Openings

The Lacey City Council is currently recruiting for the following vacancies:

 

Two vacancies on the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee. The Lodging Tax Advisory Committee makes annual recommendations to the Lacey City Council on how to best use lodging tax revenues. The Committee has five members who serve three-year staggered terms. By statute, the committee must include an elected city official, two representatives of businesses that collect lodging tax, and two representatives involved in activities funded by lodging tax revenue. The current vacancy is for a representative of a business that collects lodging tax.
