The Lacey City Council meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month, January through October. In November and December, Council meetings are scheduled on the first and third Thursdays.
Worksessions provide an opportunity for the full Council to review and discuss issues in depth without taking official action. Council Worksessions are held on the first and third Thursday of each month, January through October, and the second Thursday in November and December.
Most items brought before the full City Council are referred from one of six Council Committees: Transportation, Utilities, General Government and Public Safety, Finance and Economic Development, Land Use, and Community Relations and Public Affairs. There are many opportunities to take an active role in your local government. The City of Lacey has numerous citizen boards and commissions on which residents help shape the future of our community by serving in an advisory capacity to the Lacey City Council. The Board of Park Commissioners, Library Board, and Historical Commission also include opportunities for student representatives.
All city meetings convene in the Council Chambers of Lacey City Hall, 420 College Street SE. The public is invited to attend. map
