Community Buildings and Event Facilities

The Lacey Parks and Recreation Department operates a number of facilities that provide venues for park events, programs, and classes. Many, including the Lacey Community Center and historic Jacob Smith House, are available to rent for meetings, receptions, and other functions.




 

Lacey Community Center

Situated in picturesque Woodland Creek Community Park, the facility seats 360 and hosts numerous community events. Jacob Smith House

Constructed in 1859, this civil-war-era structure is the oldest residence in Lacey and one of the oldest homes in Thurston County. It features park-like grounds and a spectacular view of Mt. Rainier. Lacey Museum

This free, city-run museum showcases community history from Oregon Trail days to the present. Built as a private residence in 1926 by Fred Russell, the structure served as a fire station and later as Lacey's first City Hall. The museum is open to the public Thursdays and Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to  4:00 p.m., or by appointment by calling (360) 438-0209.  more»


Performance Stage at Huntamer Park

The stage at Thomas W. Huntamer Park is home to the Lacey Summer Concert Series, Children’s Entertainment Series, Outdoor Cinema Series, and other outstanding events.  It's also available for your performance. For more information, call (360) 491-0857.  more»



Virgil Clarkson Senior Center

Located in Woodland Creek Community Park, this facility features a cozy lobby and a large veranda overlooking the park’s tranquil pond. Seniors can enjoy social activities, fitness programs, classes, support groups, and noon meals, daily.
