FREQUENT QUESTIONS ABOUT REGISTRATION

When can I register for programs?

Registration opens on a quarterly basis in December, March, June and September.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Full payment is due at the time of registration

  • Online or Phone: Visa or Mastercard
  • In-person: cash, check, VISA or Mastercard

What if the class I want is full?

Don’t be discouraged!  We make every effort to add classes to accommodate waitlists, so be sure you register for the waitlist at no fee.  If we are able to add you to a class, we will call you to register and collect payment.

Can I register for other people?

You may register for all members of your family, plus one non-family member by phone or in-person only. Online registration is limited to family members only.

Can I enroll a child that is almost the correct age for a class?

Many classes are designed for certain ages, to ensure the best experience for class participants.  Online registration does not allow you to register if the child does not meet the age requirements, but if your child is within one month of the designated age by the first day of class, you may call to register.

What if I registered for the wrong class or need to cancel?

Please call our office at (360) 491-0857 during regular business hours for cancellations or transfers.  Transfers are made on a space available basis.

What if my class is canceled?

A class may be canceled if the minimum enrollment is not met, or due to instructor, facility or weather issues.  We follow the North Thurston Public School schedule, so if NTPS classes are canceled due to weather, Lacey Parks and Recreation classes will also be canceled and all participants will be notified.

What is your refund/cancellation policy?

Unless otherwise noted, refunds, less costs incurred, will be given if notified:

  • 48 business hours prior to 1st class = 100%
  • Less than 48 business hours prior to 1st class or after 1st class = 75%
  • By 9 a.m. next business day after 2nd class = 50%
  • No refunds for programs that meet 3x or less.  No refunds for sports leagues or tournaments once the league or tournament schedule has been created.

Refunds will be issued by check if the original method of payment was by cash or check. If the original payment was made by credit card, a refund will be processed to the credit card used for the original payment.

Refund checks are issued to the person listed as the primary guardian of the household account. Refunds for children linked to more than one household account will be issued to the primary guardian of the household account in which the class registration was originally processed.
