TEEN AND YOUTH PROGRAMS

The Parks and Recreation Department offers an wide array of programs for teens and youth, from high adventure in the backcountry to summer lunches with organized playground activities.  From preschoolers to highschoolers, we've got a perfect activity.   







Lacey Activities Coalition for Teens
An exciting program that provides 7th and 8th grade students in the North Thurston Public School district safe and fun activities two Friday evenings per month, rotating among Chinook, Komachin and Nisqually Middle Schools.  About 600 students attend each event.  Activities include dancing, listening to music, contests, 3-on-3 basketball, video games, karaoke, free snacks, inflatable interactive games and special guest performances. more»


Teen Adventure Program
The Teen Adventure Program offers a wide variety of outdoor-based activities.  Teens are always looking for what's new or on the cutting edge.  We provide opportunities for challenge, adventure and exploration in a safe, guided environment, including rock climbing, skateboarding, horseback riding, white water rafting, skiing and snowboarding. more»
