CITIZEN PARTNERSHIPS

 

The Lacey Police Department strives to provide education and training to citizens of Lacey in an effort to involve them in crime reduction. Some of the programs offered are the Citizen's Academy, Student's Academy, Multi-Housing Crime Reduction Program and the Retail Theft Program.


Citizen's Academy

The Lacey Police Department sponsors a free Citizen Police Academy every year for interested residents and business owners within the community. Participants will receive information on specific law enforcement topics, and gain a better appreciation of the duties and responsibilities undertaken by the Lacey Police Department to preserve and enhance the public's safety.  more »


Student's Academy

The Lacey Police Department sponsors a free Student's Academy tailored specifically for teenagers living within the greater Lacey community.  The academy is open to anyone interested in law enforcement, or wanting to gain a greater understanding of the duties of a police officer.  Students considering a future career in law enforcement will also find academy topics insightful.  more »
