CITY OF LACEY HIRES ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER

LACEY, WA, January 15, 2021:  Today, City Manager Scott Spence announced the appointment of Shannon Kelley-Fong as the City of Lacey's Assistant City Manager. The appointment follows a comprehensive recruitment and competitive selection process to fill this new position within Lacey's government. Kelley-Fong will begin her official duties February 1.

COLLEGE STREET SE AT 31ST AVENUE REMAINS TEMPORARILY CLOSED

LACEY, WA, January 13, 2021: College Street SE in Lacey, between 31st Avenue SE and 37th Avenue SE, remains closed due to a fallen tree and power lines. Puget Sound Energy (PSE) has reviewed the site and classified it as an emergency. However, due to the magnitude of the storm damage, their resources are fully engaged in higher priority places. At the time of this release, PSE was not able to provide an estimated response time.

LACEY HOLIDAY TREE PICK UP SCHEDULED JANUARY 2  
Posted: Wednesday, December 23, 2020 


LACEY, WA, December 23, 2020: Saturday, January 2, local Boy Scout Troop 222 will provide curbside pick-up of holiday trees for Lacey residents who live within the city limits. Residents must remove all decorations and place their tree at the curb by 8:00 a.m. Trees with ornaments, tinsel, or stands will not be accepted as they cannot be recycled. Apartment residents should check with managers for locations to place their trees.

SECTION OF 31ST AVENUE NE IN LACEY CLOSED DECEMBER 14 – JANUARY 8  
Posted: Thursday, December 10, 2020 


LACEY, WA, December 10, 2020: Due to construction of a gravity sewer line, 31st Avenue NE, east of Hogum Bay Road NE to Wylie Lane NE, will be closed to through traffic from December 14 – January 8. A detour, utilizing Hogum Bay Road NE, Campus Glen Drive NE, and Hercules Drive NE will be in place.
