LACEY, WA, April 26, 2019: The City of Lacey is saddened by the recent passing of Jim Sheler, who served as the city’s first Parks and Recreation Director from 1974 until retirement in 2009. “Jim established an incredible legacy for our community and indeed the greater South Sound,” said Lacey Mayor Andy Ryder. “He was an untiring force in laying the foundation for one of the finest municipal park systems in the region.”

LACEY, WA, April 25, 2019: The City of Lacey invites the community to the 32nd annual Lacey Spring Fun Fair on Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday, May 19 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., at Saint Martin’s University, 5300 Pacific Avenue SE, Lacey.

LACEY, WA, April 19, 2019: The City of Lacey’s water repair crews will replace broken water main valves on College Street SE near the intersection of 6th Avenue SE. The work will take place Tuesday, April 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and overnight Sunday, April 28, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday, April 29. During this work, the northbound lane will be closed. Motorists can expect traffic disruptions and alternate routes are advised during the working hours.
