WATER RESOURCES

Storm and Surface Water Programs and Services

Lacey’s Stormwater Utility plans, constructs, improves, operates and maintains an extensive system of public stormwater facilities, including 90 miles of storm drain pipe, 4,000 catch basins, and 42 regional stormwater ponds.  Other activities include street sweeping, regional water quality monitoring, restoration and maintenance of aquatic habitats, response to hazardous spills, and support of programs and activities for public involvement and education such as Stream Team.  To fund these and related activities, storm and surface water utility fees are assessed on all land parcels within the city.
