PLANNING & ZONING
The Planning Department guides growth and change in Lacey to enhance the character of the community,helps to create a quality natural and built environment, and works in partnership with residents to address their interests and preserve strong, healthy neighborhoods. Current Planning reviews commercial and residential development project proposals and implements zoning regulations. Long-range Planning updates the City’s Comprehensive Plan, ensures compliance with the Growth Management Act, develops code amendments, handles annexations, and works with the City of Lacey Planning Commission.
